Assessment

Assessment is an effective method of identifying where each child is in their individual learning journey. This is completed by the class teacher at the beginning and end of each unit focussing on the key computer skills and knowledge. 

Assessments are based on the skills and knowledge that children have already (pre assessment) and the skills that have been outlined in each unit of learning (post assessment). This can be in the form of a unit quiz, starter questions at the beginning of each lesson, skills displayed by the children in a lesson, through oracy, including pupil conferencing. This ensures that any gaps within computing are identified and revisited accordingly.
